Prenatal Yoga is extremely beneficial for expecting mothers. It helps to calm and focus the mind, balance the hormones, strengthen the body in preparation for birth, as well as helping to cope with your changing and developing shape.
Pranayama (breathing exercises) calm the nervous system, and also help to counter shortness of breath. Meditation helps to focus and train the mind, affecting your overall outlook, and providing you with valuable assets as you prepare for your labor. Chanting and sound meditation have amazing calming effects for both you and your baby. There is a physiological connection between the throat and the birth canal, enabling you to connect with apana, the downward or releasing flow of energy.
The benefits of the individual Asanas (postures), help to relieve the many symptoms of pregnancy (heartburn and nausea, lower back pain, rounded posture, sciatica, leg cramps, oedema (fluid retention), varicose veins, high/low blood pressure, shortness of breath), as well as training and preparing the body for the rigours of labor.

Yoga Workshops
Getting Nerdy with your Yoga Poses
Suitable for Yoga Teachers or anyone looking to deepen their practice
This is a comprehensive, in depth look at the application of functional anatomy to the Yoga asana (pose), and the Yoga practice as a whole. By applying these principles of understanding to the poses, we unlock a deeper knowledge of not only the practice, but ourselves. Learn how to identify those minor changes that are going to allow you to make major changes in the way that you see, feel and interact with the Yoga poses.
Adjustment & Alignment for Yoga Teachers
This workshop is specifically aimed at Yoga teachers.
The first half of the workshop is Getting Nerdy with your Yoga Poses. Given these alignment principles, the second half of the workshop delves into the application of alignment to the Yoga pose. Covering adjustment safety, verbal adjustment, and the different types of physical adjustment. If you are looking to take your teaching to the next level, this workshop is for you.
I can't thank you enough for all your help and support over the past 5 months. I knew your yoga classes and meditation assisted in achieving our dream to have a family.
I will miss coming on a regular basis but I hope to attend when I can.

Marnie Lane
"I can initiate the healing process, it's up you to do the rest"

Marnie’s classes aim to bring your awareness to the pathways that you often shy away from. By activating specific muscle groups, one can come into postures. Allow your body to work efficiently and more effectively, with less effort required.
Many of us believe our bodies are stuck in patterns because of a genetic predisposition or injuries. Yet our bodies are always changing, moving and developing. The patterns that we have adopted throughout our lives are that – patterns.
Marnie came to Yoga at the age of 17, on the advice of her Chiropractor. She was being treated for Scoliosis for 5 years, and had a leg length difference of 1.5cm. After two years, the same Chiropractor said she no longer needed his services as yoga was doing the trick!
After completing Yoga Teacher Training, Marnie had a HUGE release and ‘thud’ in her hip, it was weak for three days. Marnie’s leg was no longer shorter, now with a regular difference of about 5mm.
Marnie continues to work on alignment within the Yoga asana. She has had several alignment changes as a result of practicing Yoga.
Marnie also teaches two workshops – The Practical Application of Anatomy and Physiology within the Yoga Asana and Adjustment and Alignment for Yoga Teachers
